Every Cloud Archway Proposal

On the right you will see the proposed Archway entrance to the Every Cloud Sculpture Circle from the arbouretum side going towards the tea room. (please click on the picture to see it enlarged or go to the bottom of this page)
This image has been produced with thanks by my son James, who is studying graphic design. It is meant to give a rough idea of how we are envisioning the arch to be finished.
As you can see there are various sections filled with art works that range from mobiles, to stained glass designs, windchimes and metal filagree patterns.

Also it's possible we could do something similar, but perhaps more rustic, making the arches from large tree branches with wooden crafts of willow, string, basket weaving, relief carvingings and patterns, etc (I'm trying to get my son to produce a pic like this also)

These are just my thoughts, I invite you to come up with more!

The plan is to weld each new piece of art into its own position in the archway and gradually fill all the space until we have something resembling the picture.
I personally don't have any metal work skills, and I would be delighted to hear from anyone who does, especially the fabrication of the stainless steel arches and techniques to weld each piece into them.
Work made from glass, metal, stone, shells, wood or plastic should be able to be incorportated. We just need to keep in mind that each piece needs to have it's own frame that we can use to attach to the metal frame we'll fashion around it.

As mentioned above, all of these projects  could be in a more rustic woodland style, possibly still incorporating similar mobiles, windchimes, filigrees etc.

So please let me know what you think of these ideas, what you think might work best, and if you would like to contribute, and what sort of work you could produce.
I look forward to hearing from you!

Best wishes

Darren.
